Insurance-Linked Securities – a strategic means of diversification

SI Re has been expanding its role in the Insurance-Linked Securities convergence market since 2010. Based on the positive profitability expectations, SI Re decided in 2019 to manage its Insurance-Linked Security business as a standalone unit. We see the convergence market as a growth area, so we will expand our involvement in it and add more risk categories and regions to our portfolio. We will thus adopt a selective approach to diversifying our global risk exposure through Insurance-Linked Securities without having to rely on long-lasting client relationships.
