DR. ARNOLD LÖW 

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND CHIEF UNDERWRITING OFFICER (AD INTERIM)

 

Dr. Arnold Löw is Chief Executive Officer of SIGNAL IDUNA Reinsurance Ltd (SI Re) since May 2025. He brings over 20 years of reinsurance experience, gained in various leadership positions at Swiss Re, including in the areas of market underwriting, risk management, strategy, and operations. Most recently, he was Head of Client & Distribution Management for P&C Solutions in the EMEA region (including the UK). He holds a doctorate and licentiate degree in Risk Management & Insurance from the University of St. Gallen.

ANDREAS GADMER
MEMBER OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD, CHIEF RISK OFFICER AND HEAD OF ILS (AD INTERIM)

 

Andreas Gadmer has been Chief Risk Officer at SI Re since 2006. Prior to that, he spent 15 years at Zurich Financial Services working as an actuary in pricing and reserving. He was also Chief Actuary Property & Casualty at Zurich Kosmos in Vienna and Head of Pricing at Zurich Switzerland. Andreas Gadmer is an SAA-accredited actuary with a diploma in Mathematics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ) and an Executive MBA from the University of Zurich.

Adrian Suter
HEAD OF FINANCE 

 

Adrian Suter joined SI Re in March 2016 as Head of Finance. He previously spent almost ten years as an auditor. He also has several years of experience in supervising insurance groups and companies. Adrian Suter’s last position before joining SI Re was at the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA. Adrian Suter holds a Master’s degree as a business economist of applied sciences, is a Swiss Certified Public Accountant and has been accredited as an audit expert of the Federal Audit Oversight Authority FAOA since 2006.

KARINE WILD
UNDERWRITING MANAGER France, Belgium, Luxembourg

 

Karine Wild joined SI Re in 2011 as Underwriting Manager for the French, Belgian and Luxembourg markets. She has extensive reinsurance underwriting experience. Karine Wild started her career at the French branch of Nordisk Re in 1991. In 2000, she joined the client management team at Swiss Re France. In 2008, she moved to Scor to work as a Senior Property and Liability Underwriter for French clients, specialising in professional indemnity. Karine Wild holds a degree in modern languages and jurisprudence from University Sorbonne, Paris and a Master's 2 degree in insurance law from University Assas, Paris.

Thomas Bodenschatz

UNDERWRITING MANAGER GERMANY, AUSTRIA, BALTICS

 

Thomas Bodenschatz joined SI Re as an Underwriting Manager in June 2023 and is responsible for the markets in Germany, Austria, and the Baltics. He joined from AXA XL Reinsurance, where he had been responsible for client relations in the DACH region since 2018, especially in property business. Previously, he served at XL Catlin and Catlin Re as market manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He started his career, which spans 30 years, at Frankona Rückversicherung, subsequently GE Frankona Re, where he was, among other things, Head of Treaty Department Germany P&C. He transferred from there to Swiss Re as Senior Client Manager & Broker Coordinator as well as Head of Client Relationships Germany handling especially the regional and national customer segment. Thomas Bodenschatz holds a university degree in law.

Michael Rossi

UNDERWRITING MANAGER SWITZERLAND, UK

 

Michael Rossi joined SI Re as Underwriting Manager for the Swiss market in October 2023. Most recently he worked at SCOR as Market Manager/Senior Underwriter Globals for the Swiss market. Prior to that, he was Senior Underwriter CAT - US, Globals and Assumed Retro at SCOR. Michael Rossi began his 20-year career at Partner Re as a leading risk/exposure analyst. In 2007, he transferred to RMS in London as product manager in product development, design and implementation of client-oriented financial modelling solutions for the insurance and reinsurance sector. Michael Rossi holds an Executive MBA from Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) and a Master of Science in Geography from the University of Zurich.

Simone Debono

UNDERWRITING MANAGER ITALY AND NORTHERN EUROPE

 

Simone Debono joined SI Re on 4 August 2025 as Underwriting Manager for Italy and Northern Europe. 

She previously spent over a decade at Helvetia Re as Senior Underwriter, where she achieved profitable growth with a portfolio covering the Nordic countries as well as Malta, Cyprus, and Greece. Earlier in her career, she held positions at Allianz Re, Converium Reinsurance in Zurich, and at  Skuld P&I Club in Oslo.

She began her reinsurance career in 2003, after gaining experience in operational finance and accounting in Malta. Simone Debono holds the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation and has completed advanced professional courses in liability insurance and contract pricing.  

Maximilian Studer

UNDERWRITING MANAGER SPAIN, PORTUGAL AND GERMANY

 

Maximilian Studer joined SI Re in September 2025 as an Underwriting Manager. He is responsible for the Spanish and Portuguese market and provides support for the German market. Prior to joining SI Re, he worked at Korean Re Switzerland AG as a P&C Underwriter for the DACH region since November 2021. Before that, he spent over four years as a reinsurance broker at Aon Switzerland. Maximilian Studer holds a Master of Science in Engineering and Management and a Bachelor in Engineering Business Management from Coventry University.

LUKAS CIZEK

UNDERWRITING MANAGER CENTRAL & EASTERN EUROPE

 

Lukas Cizek joined SI Re as Underwriting Manager for Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) effective mid-March 2026. He brings more than two decades of reinsurance experience in underwriting, portfolio management and client relationship management, with a strong focus on CEE markets. Most recently, he worked as an underwriter at VIG Re in Prague, where he managed the CEE portfolio. Prior to that, he spent many years at Aon managing reinsurance treaty placements across Poland and CEE. Lukas Cizek holds a Master’s degree in Information Management and Insurance from the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE).
